Google is one of the first place to look, but Yelp, Facebook and Angie’s List are also good sources for reviews. Don’t just go by the stars, but read a few comments to get a feel for how the employees are.
Are they licensed and insured? Being licensed means they’ve met the requirements of the state they serve and are a recognized business. And if they’re insured you’re covered in case something goes wrong.
Upfront prices. They should provide you with a quote once you tell them what you need hauled and from where.
You might have some additional items that you hadn’t mentioned when they arrive. Let them know at the start and find out what the additional cost would be.
Unless there is something unexpected with your junk the price they quote you should be the price you pay.
Compare prices and the size of their trucks with competitors. As with any business it doesn’t hurt to shop around. Get a couple estimates.

You don’t want to have to wait around for hours for them to arrive. They should be able to give you an estimate of when they’ll be there and after hearing what you have, an idea of how long it will take.
